Lisa's Sumo DL PR

Update 10/09: Finally hit 215!!!

Tonight in preparation for FGBIV on Saturday, I decided to max on Sumo deadlifts. My max deadlift is 195 and I hadn't planned to go beyond that tonight primarily because I have never maxed on Sumo deadlifts before. I typically only do Sumo style when it's called for in a CF W.O.D. and much lighter, for reps. Tonight 185 for 1, 190 for 1, and even 195 for 1 went up fairly easy so, with a little push from Mr. Lupo, I went for 200. About a year ago when my max was 175, I set a goal of hitting 215 which is just over twice my body weight... almost there!!
I want thank my little support group: Chris, Mike, Karen, Mom, Bobby & Rob, they are the lucky recipients of random text messages every time I hit a new PR:)

Labor Day Weekend

All Power Up & CrossFit Bozeman members and future members:

The gym will be closed Thursday 9/3 - Sunday 9-6. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. We hope the weather will be nice enough that you can take your workouts outdoors over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
All of you who rescheduled and/or canceled appointments this week and helped me carry out the 40th Birthday surprise for Chris, I very much appreciate your help and understanding.

The gym will re-open at 5:30am on Monday morning 9/7 (Labor Day).
